Our Visitors from Okinawa, Japan!

Grant and I volunteered to host a couple exchange students who were spending three weeks at St. John's University studying English. Two girls, Natsuki (pronounced Natski) and Aya (pronounced Iya) stayed with us for the weekend! We had a lot of fun with them and they were good sports about trying out our hobbies :)

Friday night making smores - Natsuki, Aya and Grant.

Saturday we headed for the cabin since that's a pretty typical Minnesotan weekend activity. We took them out on the jet ski and they had a lot of fun! Here's Me and Natsuki.

I took them each out for a ride and then Grant took them out :) Here's Aya and Grant.

Having a little grill out with some typical summer foods - burgers, brats, watermelon, pasta salad, etc. Mom, Gary and Marla joined us for the afternoon!

The four of us - Grant, Aya, Natsuki, and Me.

They both gave us a gift when we got home - some cool fans, calligraphy pen, wind chime, origami paper and instructions. One of the fans was white and Natsuki said we should write something on it so we asked them to write their names :)

On Sunday we took them for a canoe ride down the Sauk River since that's something we like to do :) The water was moving fast - we had a fun time! Here's Me, Natsuki and Aya.

Then on Tuesday we were invited to attend their graduation ceremony. Look at this nice fan they gave us :)

Aya played the piano but I didn't get a picture :( Here's Natsuki doing a drum routine.

Then dancers joined in on the drum routine. Sorry the pics are fuzzy - I forgot my camera so had to make due with my phone which is old and ghetto.

We had a really fun time with the girls and wished we had more time to hang out and get to know them!
