Freezing Green Beans

Grant, Mike, and I picked three buckets of green beans today to freeze!

First, we washed them, cut the ends off, and then cut them into 1-2" pieces.

Then, to blanch them, we started some water boiling and dumped in some beans. Once it came back to a boil we let it boil for four minutes. Then, we strained the beans and put them into ice water for about another four minutes. Then, we put them into gallon freezer bags and started another batch!

It was pretty simple and didn't take long at all. Hopefully it works!
