Interesting things in Europe

On our trip so far we've come across a lot of interesting things that we don't usually see in the States. We already talked about some of them in our posts - like the naked old people laying around in the park (Gary, I'd say they were about your age :) j/k ... maybe between 65 or 70 ... Grant says ... very comfortable in their own skin).

Then there was the incident with the drunk lady on the street slamming her beer. Definitely don't see people walking around with beer on the streets in the US.

Some other things are that when you have to go to the bathroom first you have to look for the sign that says WC or in Switzerland it might say Toiletten. Then when you find it you usually have to pay 50 or 80 cents (euro). Also, you have to make sure you have the correct change because it doesn't usually let you in if you don't!

One thing that's pretty cool that we learned here is if you buy water or pop bottles with a certain symbol on them you can return them for 25 cents (euro). It's like you're making money!

And the last thing of course is to make sure you look for the 1 or 2 on the outside of the train cars so you don't sit in first class when you have a second class ticket :)

  1. Dude, good thing I'm not having to pay to use the bathroom every time I have to go right now. I'd be broke!

  2. Heh heh You have to make the most of your bathroom stops.
